Fancy Feast celebrated International Cat Day with Fête du Feline, a two-day summer event in New York City’s Madison Square Park. Fancy Feast, Purina’s gourmet cat food brand, tapped Industria Creative to design and produce the experience, which included an intimate Grand Tasting event (via a limited number of tickets) that featured “a variety of sips and bites” created for humans. Fancy Feast’s in-house culinary expert, Amanda Hassner, curated the exclusive menu. Cat-lovers across New York City came together to celebrate their favorite felines in a setting that was both meaningful, fun and delicious. On their website, Purina offers a cookbook featuring some of the recipes from our experience.
The next day, following the exclusive event, the experience opened to the public, allowing pre-registered and limited walk-ups to experience multiple interactive moments, including hand-drawn pet portraits and a meet-and-greet with the Fancy Feast cat. Of course, humans were not only allowed but also encouraged to bring their beloved feline friends.
The result was an earned media and engagement success that again allowed the brand to not only deliver its messaging of quality ingredients but also connect with and celebrate cat lovers in a compelling and impactful way.
